Take the Exit to CRUMBS Café Before Heading to the Local Music
Scene
The internet radio show, CRUMBS Café, is going into syndication on WEXT
97.7 starting May 2.
Chris Wienk of WEXT says: "We are very excited to be able to partner with
Mike and bring the CRUMBS Cafe to WEXT. It will be a great addition to the local
music programming we already do. Mike has some great guests in, and the show
feels like you're just hanging out with the artists. It's a very intimate sound."
What better way to get reved up just before heading out to the local music
scene then to tune into a radio show on a radio station dedicated to the scene.
Listeners will soon be able to enjoy two hours of Local 518 programming every
Friday night as they are driving to catch their favorite local band.
CRUMBS Cafe is a radio show where local musicians stop by the Schenectady CRUMBS
studio for an interview and usually for a live acoustic performance. Often bands
are able to perform three rare acoustic versions of their songs and share their
tales of woe while on the local music scene.
This gives musicians an opportunity to chat a bit about whom they are, what
their songs are all about, or even the local music scene in general. Quite often
the topics sway to how the music scene is changing with the advent of digital
music and what are some of the highlights of being a local band in Capital Region.
Shows tend to run about 30 minutes.
The shows will air every Friday night from 8pm-9pm on Exit 97.7 WEXT following
the Local 518 show which starts at 7pm.
