Anguile is a Gabonese-French reggae artist, co-founder of "The High Steppers" band, residing in up-state NY. They specialize in roots reggae with an emphasis on dub.
Anguile has been performing and recording for the last two decades, although he just released his first CD,
"Wisdom of the King" with Zamani Records.
In 2008, Anguile performed in front of 10,000 poeple at the International Montreal Jazz Festival.

We are extremely active in promoting the music of living composers, giving 80 plus recitals of new music each year. We have commissioned over 100 new works from celebrated composers in 50 countries and all 7 continents, started a festival, several concert series and created the Basically Modern Arts Sanctuary. The Basically Modern Arts Sanctuary invites composers from all over the world so that they might have the opportunity to compose a new work while visiting New York. We have pushed the limits of the solo bass and have redefined what was previously thought possible and then commissioned an entirely new repertoire by celebrated composers that reflect these advances. Right now this is just a "Studio band" project being assembled by former local acoustic performer Steve Grogan, who also rocked out for a bit with some bands (most notably No Call No Show). David Lombardo is a guitarist, drummer, and music entrepreneur who has worked with a wide variety of artists, most notably a few ex-American Idol finalists. He was a former instructor at the Cady School of Music in Albany. Lombardo was a member of the Empire State Youth Orchestra, and a 2006 winner of the Louis Armstrong award.
David Lombardo currently writes and records with a variety of artists, and is working in the Albany area.
